We are a nonprofit organisation support by government funding and grants. Set up by a Voluntary Management Committee the centre opened in July 2011. We have a full time Manager on site and we are staffed by TUS and CE Scheme Employees. The centre is a state of the art Centre consisting of rooms and halls available to hire for a wide range of activities. Situated just off the Granard Road, Edgeworthstown N55 Cavan to Athlone and the N4 Dublin to Sligo is 5 mins drive away making us convenient to get to.
It provides a venue for our community to hold various events, meetings, training and education. Our main hall is used by our Schools for indoor training and games, concerts etc. We have hosted numerous events over the years such as fashion shows, talent shows, large sporting events, Community Late Late Show and even Weddings!
It sports an absolutely fantastic balcony and viewing area that oversees the entire Sports Hall. We also use the Balcony for Fitness classes on a weekly basis. Off the side of the balcony, we have a small spin room that contains 8 spin bikes and again classes are offered on a weekly basis.
The Large Sports Hall is used by all our local sports groups and organisations. We have weekly activities such as Soccer, Basketball, Badminton, Pickleball, and Volleyball, Active Age Games, Youth Groups & GAA.
We also have a dance studio with mirrors which is used by many different community organisations for classes, meetings & workshops. We also have fitness classes, healthy living classes & table tennis on offer in this room.
We have a large meeting room upstairs again used for meetings, trainings and other community organisations that can be rented out on both short & long term basis.
